VouchFirst Scam Breakdowns
A growing repository of ticket scams reported on VouchFirst and what we've seen while moderating r/TicketResale on Reddit.
While moderating r/TicketResale, we saw many fans get scammed while trying to buy tickets from another person online. We created these breakdowns to show how real ticket scams work, so fewer fans lose money making the same mistakes.
This problem extends far beyond our community. The UK Home Office reported (opens in a new tab) more than £1.6 million in concert-ticket fraud losses and around 3,700 reports during 2024, with almost half involving offers made on social media. The US Federal Trade Commission also recorded (opens in a new tab) $2.1 billion in reported losses from scams that began on social media in 2025.
